Counting down the days like a man counts down his calories
Still a while to go.
Outside is shining but inside I’m drowning, trapped in a cell,
Surrounded by darkness.
I don’t know which way to go.
Strangled with hate, I can hardly breathe.
“Jesus help me!”
Light breaks through my heart, turns to give, all I can see is you.
I’ll share all my days with you jumping through these waves.
I’m coming to why did it take so long to turn to you?
Your word is my medicine and I’m insulin dependent.
I’m a fetus and you’re carrying me in your womb.
Thank you for rescuing me from the shadow of darkness
By making me feel brand new.
Jesus, my heart belongs to you!
